Sita Ashok Tree, Sorrow less tree

One of legendary sacred tree of India. Native to India, Burma and Malaya. Mainly planted as ornamental as well for its medicinal value.

Ashoka Tree at Thrissur Zoo, nearly 6- 8 trees are there. All of them are flowering when I visited during May,2011.

Beautiful foliage and fragrant flowers, evergreen small tree.
