Install CanoScan LiDE 25 in Windows 10

This page describes how to install and run Canon CanoScan Lide 25 Scanner in Windows 10.

CanoScan LiDE 25

Canon no longer supports Windows 10 driver for the CanoScan LiDE 25, possibly no Windows 8 driver either.I tried searching the internet for the solution but could not find a good one. But after trying and testing, I could finally run the official Canon Software for my Scanner in my Windows 10.

While the CanoScan LiDE 25 is not supported with Windows 10, you may be able to use the Windows 7 driver.

1. Visit the following link:

2. Select Windows 7 from the drop-down menu. Click Download to download the driver

3. Install the driver in Windows 10

4. Download and Install CanoScan Toolbox Ver. 4.9.3.2 from the following link:
https://in.canon/en/support/0900293304/3

5. Run CanoScan Toolbox from Windows Start

6. Select Scan-1, following screen will appear

In this screen,

a. Check mark Display the Scanner Driver

b. Click Set in External Program, and select some photo viewer program and click Apply (Here I have set Microsoft Picture Editor)

7. Now you can click Scan and use the scanner as you used to in previous versions operating system.
