3 Tips for a Better Product

Have you stumbled upon an idea and worried that your product won’t be good enough? Do you have trouble coming up with ideas? Surely, you’ve looked at someone else’s Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, Twitter, or whatever for an idea… Is that what happens if you don’t have a great idea? What about holding back your already created products because you believe it’s not trendy enough or it simply isn’t the right time to release your product? While most of you might be afraid to answer these questions, a single “yes” to any of these questions is a common answer for a lot of people. I will be the first to admit that I’ve created a product from an idea that wasn’t originally mine. I’ll also be the first to tell you that it wasn’t successful. It’s been a few months since I’ve made this product and recently I came up with 3 lessons or tips a creative must consider when developing their next best product.

1) Authenticity is key.

Your product should be a reflection of your heart. Over time, I’ve learned that mimicking someone’s skill or product is not going to make me a creative. In fact, not only does is destroy my integrity, it limits me from discovering what inside me is good. In other words, it’s better to find something I’m good at and strengthen that skill than to try and copy someone else’s skill and damage the true value of my future product. A great product is created because of genuine and authentic skills. Did you know that you were created by a Creator who made you different from anyone else? You’re unique! That makes you very special and you should embrace those talents and skills.

2) Be fearless.

I love making mistakes… only when I learn from them. Moreover, I learned that I shouldn’t be afraid to make mistakes. If there wasn’t a more opportune time, it would be from the point I’ve realized that I made a mistake from my curiosity. I’m never afraid to see where it will lead me. My product ends up more interesting no matter what the value is in the end. Learn to be fearless.

3) Develop genuine relationships.
