What Have You Done Today?

to make your dreams happen

It was holiday and I was going home. The home really made a comfort zone for me. The delicious dishes were ready, Mom and Dad were available, the TV show non stop going on, without any tasks, without any deadlines. Just very different with the college time.

Holiday makes me enjoy the time more.

It was a good deal, indeed. It gave much spare time that I can enjoy with things forgotten after the tasks, like enjoying watching YouTube, reading books, writing the blog, and so on. But longer it took it can bring me to the too-comfort zone. The spare time eventually intoxicated me into the idle state. I did not know what to do.

Finally the valuable time went with the playing game too much, laying on the bed all day long, the never ending watching TV, and eating snack too much. And when I remembered my dreams, the question came: what have I done to make my dreams happen?

It makes me forget how valuable time is, how time is much deserve to be appreciated well.

And I realize the time when I was in college time. The activity and rush which colored the day are ways to appreciate the value of time, by doing the meaningful things. It makes me do something and being busy. And it makes me feel valuable.

I have once found a quote from the book of Paulo Coelho, The Pilgrimage. It said:

Early symptoms we are in the process of killing the dream is limited time, “said Peter. “The busiest people I have ever known in my life always have time enough for everything. Those who never do anything always feel tired and do not notice their jobs a little overloaded. They often complain of the day is too short. Actually, they are just afraid of fighting.

Then it makes me think that the spare time and idle time actually does not exist. What is available is just time which is always tick-tock-ing whatever I do. And the rush that always be complained of actually is the things I have to be grateful of.

Luck for us who have things to be done. Instead of complaining whether they are too much take our time, it’s better to appreciate them by making the meaningful to make your dreams happen.

Additionally, research said that the busy people is happier than people in idle time.

So, ask our self every night, what have I done today to make my dreams happen?
