1 .Cinderella’s Stepsister (2010)

Starring: Moon Geun-young, Chun Jung-myung, Seo Woo, Ok Taecyeon

Synopsis:

Ever since she was young, Eun-jo has learned to trust no one and live strong on her own. Used to being dragged from one broken home to another by her manipulative, money-grabbing mother, Eun-jo doesn’t know what to make of her mother’s latest catch Dae-sung, the solemn head of a traditional rice wine brewery. Both Dae-sung and his daughter, bubbly spoiled princess Hyo-sun, warmly welcome wary young Eun-jo into their sprawling home, and treat her with a kindness that she simply can’t stomach. Instead, she forms a bond with brewery staff Ki-hoon, the first person to see past her tough act, and it is his betrayal that will hurt the most. However, Dae-sung’s genuine kindness to her eventually melts Eun-jo’s defenses, and she learns to trust and love her stepfather. Naive Hyo-sun, meanwhile, stubbornly seeks affection at every turn, only to slowly realize she’s losing Ki-hoon and everything else in her life to her cold stepsister. Eight years later, Jung-woo reappears in Eun-jo’s life, a boy she used to treat as her little brother who is now a young man determined to win her heart. Reluctant sisters Eun-jo and Hyo-sun both experience angst and rivalry, as their polar-opposite personalities and love-hate relationship bring them through many ups and downs from adolescence to adulthood.

2. The Innocent Man (2012)

Starring: Song Joong-ki, Moon Chae-won, Park Si-yeon

But when her situation takes a turn for the worse and Jae-hee becomes desperate to escape poverty, she meets a man who changes everything — a rich CEO who introduces her to a life of comfort. So she turns her back on Ma-ru, choosing money over love. The brutal betrayal leaves Ma-ru fractured — not just angry, but a completely changed man. A few years later, Ma-ru is now 30 years old and works as a bartender and gigolo, no longer a “nice guy.” He then meets Seo Eun-gi, a young chaebol heiress who’s being groomed to take over her father’s conglomerate. Eun-gi is cold and calculating, business-savvy, and raised by her father to never show emotion to anyone. Ma-ru decides to take revenge on his ex Jae-hee and bring her down from her position after his sister, Kang Cho-co is rushed to the hospital because of Jae-hee. Ma-ru, though initially had no plans as such, uses Eun-gi to take revenge on Jae-hee. But a car accident causes Eun-gi to lose her memory, and she enters Ma-ru’s life again.
