In the past few years, the fighting game genre has gotten quite crowded with both new releases and remastered games of yesteryear. The Mortal Kombat series is one of my favorite fighting game franchises and now that it’s on its 11th installment, I have to say that Mortal Kombat 11 really deserves to be called the best fighting game of all time. Here’s why…

The Characters
There are a lot of characters in Mortal Kombat 11, but some of them stand out more than others. One of the most popular is Scorpion, who is one of the most iconic fighters in the game. He’s an old ninja and he has a skull on his head that looks like it’s always screaming. Other good characters to play as include Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Johnny Cage.

The Story
The Mortal Kombat series has been a staple of the fighting game genre for decades, but with the release of Mortal Kombat 11, this is the best one yet. From its graphics to its gameplay, Mortal Kombat 11 takes everything that makes a fighting game great and blows it out of the water.
As you start playing MK11 you’ll notice that every character has new moves and combos unique to them as well as some from past games.

The Graphics
Mortal Kombat 11 is visually stunning with the best graphics I’ve ever seen. In fact, it looks better than some movies I’ve seen! It’s clear that NetherRealm Studios put a lot of time into making this game look as good as possible. One of the coolest things they did was create an immersive and interactive background where you can see other fighters walking around in the distance or fighting each other.

The Gameplay
Mortal Kombat is a fighting game series, originally developed by Ed Boon and John Tobias. It was originally released in 1992 as an arcade game, but has since been ported to various systems. Mortal Kombat 11 is the newest installment of the franchise and features new gameplay mechanics as well as new characters.

The Music
This is so up my alley. I’m a huge fan of the original Mortal Kombat games, and this new one is just as good. It has all the classic things I love about MK: brutal fatalities, over-the-top combos, and some great characters from the series. Plus, there are some awesome new features that make it feel fresh. One of my favorites is how you can unleash your rage meter on your opponent to get an advantage in battle. I mean, how cool is that?
