Post-Debate Euphoria
First, my apologies for the delay in writing; between the incredible news cycles following what could only be termed an epic ass-kicking by the Vice-President and a busy work week, well, I’ve just not had it in me to do much in the way of putting my reactions into words. And the aftermath of this week’s events certainly calls for some major analysis.
For those living under a rock for the past week… damn. You missed a kickass debate performance by the VP. Someone coached her properly on this one- she hit all the right points, and, although I was disappointed by her not calling him a rapist, she did push all the right buttons to get a reaction out of him. Enough so that, in an unprecedented attempt to save face, trump hit the spin room himself; it’s unheard of for a candidate to do this, and it spoke volumes of what his ego had to do in an effort to convince himself that he was the big winner.
In the days that followed, of course, republican spin efforts have fallen rather flat, and, well…
