On De-Integration, Disaggregation & Structural Unbundling

Part 3 of 3

Simplicity and innovation — have you heard enough yet from us about how passionate we are about these concepts? And how they REALLY can apply to the aviation industry regardless of how counter intuitive that sounds? Well, that’s precisely why we’re turning this last installment of the series over to #avgeek Isaac Alexander. You probably know him as @jetcitystar on Twitter or as the guy who runs the page you go to on Facebook to stay up to speed on all things aerospace and defense. Take it away, Isaac!

I know what you’re thinking: a bunch of aerospace individuals with + 150 years combined experience in the industry…this Innov8 Cabin Solutions team can talk about simplicity and innovation but it all adds up in its own way to be complicated, right? I’ll share with you my experience with the company and their CabinFlex Simplicity line of products.

The Innov8 Cabin Solutions crew has built their name on developing products that do exactly what they say they’re going to do. Their products are simple, take a beating but keeps on ticking. And they do — I know it because I’ve witnessed them testing the products in the various labs first hand. They put them through a lot — and all the products passed with flying colors.

The products are durable sure, but they also mean economical upgrades for cabin management and entertainment systems ARE possible. CabinFLEX Simplicity features affordable products that enable customers to efficiently use their everyday personal electronic devices (PEDs) on their aircraft and replace older monitors with their own PEDs.

So the products are great — affordable, flexible and adaptable. But it’s the way this team operates that I most enjoy watching at work. They’re agents of change in this industry we’re all so passionate about. Innov8 understands intimately the ins and outs of it all — that ideally, anything you touch in an aircraft cabin has to work with current equipment AND still work as the aircraft evolves.

I’ve experienced first-hand how minimal woodwork is required when replacing existing side-ledge installed monitors or when choosing to install in a new location. Fun Fact: the first CFLEX Charge installation was performed by West Star Aviation in the Falcon 900B at its Alton, Illinois, facilities. But you don’t have to take it from me. Other people are talking too: “The Innov8 team knows what they are doing when it comes to designing and building their products,” Jeff Maszkiewicz, Director of Engineering/ODA Administrator at West Star Aviation said recently.

Change makers dedicated to collaboration and diligent about what they deliver — Innov8 works within requirements and on budget. They collaborate with world-class installers to provide a custom product package for your goals. They’ll work with your schedule and even come to you to install. It’s good stuff: timely and efficient, simple yet innovative.
