Early Life and Education
Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. He is the son of a Canadian mother, Maye Musk, and a South African father, Errol Musk. Musk was interested in computers and technology from a young age and taught himself to program when he was just 12 years old. He attended Pretoria Boys High School and later moved to Canada at the age of 17 to attend Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
