Hogwarts, Potter and others…
For a couple of weeks now, the kids have been going to school. My daughter also walks, with a cool backpack from Hogwarts )).
And although the film is long over, that atmosphere of mystery and magic does not let go.
Especially in England, at any time, the eyes of the most fashionable elf in the world can stare at you:
Well, then I wanted to show you where the most important miracle of magic over the past decade took place. So, sit back and lets go to Lacock Abbey. Well, we move mentally.
Of course, we immediately headed straight to the filming locations, deciding to postpone the visit of the mansion for later. Moreover, the main most of the visitors (children with their parents) went there too.
In the movies, these school corridors look so long, ancient, and mysterious. In real life, they are VERY ancient and mysterious, but not long.
There is a memorial plaque that Harry Potter was here))
There’s also a patio, I think that’s where Harry Potter first started on a broomstick, but I could be wrong.
But directors are able to make long school corridors out of small cloisters, so it’s easier for them to spit out of such a courtyard — a field for flying on a broom.
These amazing rooms with their delightful architecture, I will definitely show you the mansion itself, it is very original, at least I have not met such before!
And we still found a cauldron of witches, though not everyone agrees with us)).
They say it dates back to 1500, and either it was used for cooking in the abbey, or served as a decoration of the garden. There are many versions and all are good, but we know exactly where the dog is buried here, what is the matter here, isn’t it? ))
The abbey was built as early as 1232. Oh my God, and it still looks pretty decent, although everywhere is full of tablets with requests:
However, I have a feeling that it will stand for another thousand years. Moreover, it is under the protection of the National Trust (a wonderful charitable society dedicated to the protection of the national heritage).
About the abbey, about the goat that keeps sugar on the muzzle and will not eat it in any way and the most delicious wild garlic in England, I will tell you soon...
