I was contacted by some women who felt violated by their interviews with Remski for his upcoming book about injuries. I made a formal intervention, asking that he do the following: (1) publish the exact facts about his bio so that potential interviewees will know his exact training and will know what remorse there is (or is not) to teachers or institutions should he make a grave mistake. (2) Establish a serious system of checks and balances that goes beyond “the peer review system of the internet,” specifically to address issues of manipulation of female interviewees. Matthew promised to do these things. We are still waiting.
