Many people pass WordPress off as a blogging platform, a non-serious platform for non-profits and geeks alike. Not realising the power the platform possess to develop world class web platforms ranging from full fledged eCommerce sites to social networks. That includes corporate websites for financial institutions and banks.
Traditionally it has been held that WordPress or more broadly speaking LAMP based platforms are not secure enough for the finance and banking sector. Granted it doesn’t make sense to build core banking functionality on WordPress, however the PR or marketing arm of the bank can sure be built on WordPress.
At Inspurate we are proud to have the JS Bank’s corporate website hosted on a fully customised version of WordPress. Before deployment the website underwent intense penetration testing and patching.
