Please be more truthful. Check https://wikiislam.net/wiki/How_Islamic_Inventors_Did_Not_Change_The_World
Even if there is truth to any particular part, the inventions of individuals are not islamic in themselves. They are individual’s explorations and not religious. In a similar sense, we owe nothing to any religion for any of the important inventions. We shouldn’t conflate.
Burkini (or Hijab.version2) on the other hand comes as a result of religious impositions. It dictates how modesty must be for a woman, and is anti-feminist & patriarchal.
In an ideal world where religious ignorance has no place, a person should be able to wear anything, even fully cladding the face. Then it would be true freedom. This is not that world now. In the current world, where religious dictation attaches modesty to attire, there is only a pretense of choice, a pretense of freedom. That freedom is the pseudo-freedom to submit, but not a freedom to be liberated from the past dictations.
As an analogy, in a country with values of liberty, if an black person practices wearing of chains like a slave, then it must be opposed. It doesn’t matter if he/she claims them to be his/her “freedom to choose”. Freedom to be a slave is not freedom. Of course, that doesn’t happen because they do not have a burden of a major religion’s beliefs to wear such chains. What makes burkini-like clothing further worse is that they provide scope to impose the ignorant beliefs and clothing on the younger generation and children. It is often done in the name of “identity” and “culture”, that are wrongly given higher priority than rationality and knowledge.
The inability to call a chain as a chain would be denial of facts and the end of intelligent reasoning.
