The wrestling is the important part of the show. It’s the reason why the show is the show it is and not a regular scripted drama. Having the individual matches be sponsored would not only accentuate their importance through letting them run fully televised, but they would also give them the veneer that advertisers would be fighting for the rights to sponsor certain matches. It could be used for promo material or in a storyline.

I’m okay with everything up to using the canvas as ad space. That’s sacred.
