This discussion got right to the point, sharing some of the best places to get flight deals, including Kayak.com, AirAsia.com and Google search and Hipmunk.com, which helps you map out your entire flight.

The group also discussed trends in youth travel, especially from the point of view of Saez-Gil, who works with Student Universe, who said mobile and on-demand are hot.

“Companies are taking advantage of the data to personalize the offering and
for the user that’s really valuable, especially for mobile in which you want
a curated experience,” Saez-Gil said.

The group also discussed the simple things, such as hacking jet lag.

“I have a system, and that system is beautiful. Technology-wise, it’s a little antiquated, but the techiest part of it is noise canceling headphones and I really wouldn’t count those out. What you really want to do is shut out every conceivable way that any kind of information can get into your system. You need to have your eyes covered, you need to have your ears covered, canceling out the noise and I recommend a pillow that you jam in between your legs and you hug it — it sounds ridiculous but you can sit back and sleep sitting up and you will sleep like a baby on any flight.”
