“Dear Businesslady: Do I Want To Have Two Jobs Forever?”

Sinking Feeling: this advice may feel more followable if you can identify a coworker (or two) who you can rely on for a job reference once you move. One of the actual biggest problems with shitty bosses is that they usually think everyone else is shitty and give shitty references, so it can have repercussions that follow you to your next town. But finding a solid coworker (if not your direct supervisor, then maybe just someone more established in the industry or older/more generally experienced than you) who thinks you’re really solid and will tell your future interviewers that you were a radiant, competent, and professional source of strength in a very trying environment. Good luck! This situation really sucks.
