WISTAVERSE Updates
$WISTA launched 2 days ago and we wanted to clarify a few things and give you guys the latest update on everything:
Quickly after our launch we encountered a technical issue that was beyond our control. Our token, deployed on Polygon, had a bridged version on the Binance Smart Chain. We worked with BoringDAO, who created the bridge and the bridged token. Both were audited and presented to us as perfect.
Unfortunately exchanges were late to integrate the BSC bridged token which caused thousands of people to rush to the bridge causing it to congest. People were sadly stuck in the bridge for multiple hours and understandably frustrated with this. Our team is small but hardworking so we tried to balance the high workload of the launch with helping every community member individually to assure them their tokens are safe. Of course, we could not help everyone which caused further frustration.
Everyone has since successfully bridged.
It also appeared that the bridged asset wasn’t supported on DEXs, which meant that people couldn’t use their asset for many hours. Boring DAO has assumed responsibility for this and has provided a working solution for everyone who received their token on the BSC within 24 hours (see the bottom of the post for a step-by-step guide for anyone who still hasn’t bridged yet).
Contrary to many IDOs, we wanted to offer 100% TGE to holders. This was a community-driven decision, and within 24 hours, everyone had a working solution and could access their funds. There is no further inflation for the next 3 months and everything has been distributed.
We have spent the last 48 hours communicating intensively with everyone affected, providing one-on-one support on every available platform. We will remain available to anyone who has any questions, please join one of our community channels to reach out.
We are a team of passionate individuals trying to grow a great project that we have been working on for years.
While the issue was out of our control, we are working now to provide compensation to EVERYONE from the DAO Maker and Coinzix community who received their tokens on the BSC.
Yes, there was a problem, and we have done everything possible to resolve it as fast as humanly possible, but we will not let that overshadow the bigger picture of the project. We are determined to deliver our great roadmap and keep building and growing our community.
Wistaverse was created to be a community-orientated public good, used to promote social action!
Ironically, although we were on the opposing end of it all, we got to see the power of the voice of a community! Those who had similar issues and problems came together to help each other and act for change. This is the Wistaverse way and we are committed to moving forward from here onto true bigger and more important issues!
