I’d no idea Dr. Dobson was a part of Trump’s advisory committee! I’m not particularly surprised, but I’m always disappointed to find out someone we used to listen to on the radio more or less all the time as a family when me and my sisters were little is a single-issue vote, blind to the offenses of his chosen nominee. If it helps explain the behavior of the far right, consider the fact that many republican evangelical voters might have grown up as I did, surrounded by a constant maelstrom of media telling us there was no other acceptable way to exist. It’s an alternate universe, the evangelical one.
