My heart bleeds to know that there was a sexual assault on your campus recently. One of the important facts this book reminds me is that rape or sexual assault is often committed among those who are in a relationship. Though I don’t know the case in detail, I think the boyfriend of the victim should be responsible for his action, at the same time it is noted there should have been misunderstanding among them and it should also be addressed to prevent the similar case in the future.

Once in a relationship, especially men tend to assume their partner accept anything they want, I think. The invisible pressure forces women to be silent and let men abuse them. In order to prevent their relationship to be distorted that way, men should periodically ask if their partner is comfortable with what their relationship is, and let their partner to be assertive of what she hope for.
