Gas Up Once — Approved Amounts on investFeed Through Smart Contracts

We’re pleased to announce that the backbone of our token architecture has been completed, and we’re ready to keep moving forward with more token utility right on the investFeed platform.

With our smart contracts implemented on the platform, using your FEED tokens has never been easier. Before this latest deployment, users were able to tip posts in increments of 10 tokens by calling an individual transaction for each tip. Now, we’d like to not only introduce our variable tipping, but our “approved balance” system as well.

Once you reach the new wallet page and have your MetaMask wallet ready, you can set an “approved amount” which will allow you to send one initial transaction — and that’s it. investFeed takes care of the on-platform transactions using the approved amount that you sent over. For example, if you have 570 IFT in your wallet and you only want to move 100 around investFeed, just set an approved amount of 100.

Users will also be able to send approved amounts from non-MetaMask wallets as well with a provided address.

After sending that initial transaction, investFeed will take care of the balancing, and your wallet will reflect any conducted transactions. The only time you’ll have to transact using gas will be the next time you send an approved balance over to investFeed to spend on the platform.

Feel free to set your approved balance and start tipping any value you wish to. Although tipping is currently the only active feature, this new deployed back-end system will enable us to easily front-load the next features that use our token. Once we build it out, the transacting element is already taken care of. Be on the lookout for the next token feature coming sometime soon.

Also due to popular demand from our users, the amount of tips a post receives is now public on the platform. Remember — in order to be eligible to receive tips, you must include a wallet address in the settings of your account.

Insights Provided by Charting Updates

We’re currently in the final testing phase of our charting implementation and hope to have it live before the end of next week. We’re going through the last bits of usability testing to ensure that users have a great experience viewing them from data streams.

As mentioned before, our charts will give users plenty of options to play around with the data we’ll be providing directly on investFeed. Users will also have the option to view other trading pairs besides the U.S. dollar. Once expanded, more in-depth charting will take over the user’s view, and give them a great set of tools to explore the provided market data (along with plenty of exchange-based pairs).

Verified by Civic

We’re pleased to announce that users can now verify their identity using Civic directly on the platform. This will enable investFeed users to confirm their identity on the platform and earn a Civic badge next to their name. This will also lead users to be one step closer to standard blue-check verification.

Once you download the Civic mobile app and confirm your identity, the green Civic logo will be added to your name and onto your posts.

In the future, we might hold promotions catered toward real, active investFeed users. In order to ensure a limitation on botting, we might require users in the future to verify their identity through Civic, in order to get an accurate headcount on participants.

Edge on investFeed

We’re pleased to announce that investFeed Edge will be migrating over to the platform in the form of both a curated and non-curated stream. We want to make sure our users have the most up-to-date information in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space directly on the platform. Users will also have the ability to interact with articles in the form of tipping and general engagement (liking, sharing, commenting) using their investFeed accounts.

Edge will feature curated content written by our staff writers. However, any person that writes an article featuring great content and relevant information has the chance to have their article aggregated into the curated stream. Those who have their content selected will be granted tokens for their contributions, and has a greater chance of having their articles selected again for curation.

The non-curated view will feature all of the articles coming out from our investFeed community. As the number of members continues to grow on the platform, so too will the number of great articles to read.

Google 2FA Enabled on investFeed

We’ve now integrated Google Two-Factor Authentication on the platform to increase user security. Considering the fact that users will be working with balances directly on the platform through approved amounts, it might be a great time to activate it to keep yourself protected against potential vulnerabilities. To enable it for your account, check out your account settings on desktop, and toggle the featured options.

We’ve also included this option in anticipation of our upcoming exchange integrations and premium subscriptions. We want to make sure our users are protected against any potential threats.

What’s in the Pipeline?

Coin List Rollout with Advanced Chart Popups

One of the major things we’re excited to roll out is our updated coin list on the platform. This coin list will not only feature updated data, but will also include advanced charting popups to go along with the featured data-sets. Each coin will continue to have their own dedicated live streaming feed, but users will have more access to data right from the main list.

Next IFT Integration — Premium Subscriptions

Now that our smart contracts are in place to handle approved balances on the platform, our next token-priority will be the roll-out of premium content creation, along with premium subscriptions. Once implemented, users will have the option to include a paywall in our native token to charge access to any premium content they wish to release. From the user end, you’ll not only have the option to access that content through our token, but subscribe to users who wish to provide “premium feeds” for push notifications and premium content.

Marketing Campaign

As we mentioned, 2018 will include an aggressive marketing campaign in order to get investFeed into the spotlight of the cryptocurrency community, and to grow our user base more than tenfold. We plan on hitting every major cryptocurrency outlet, and plenty of influencers to get the word out about our growing crypto-community.

We also have a promotion in the pipeline for our existing users so that they also benefit from their continued use of the platform. Stay tuned on that!
