My Dufuna Experience.

I’ve always been a sucker for free stuffs so seeing a post about the Dufuna scholarship application on my class WhatsApp page, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try; so I applied immediately. I had totally forgotten about it after sometime. Scrolling through my mail, I saw an email informing me to write an examination. I was about to give up; being a programming novice, but decided to do it anyway. Turns out it wasn’t as challenging as I thought and I aced it.

I received an email sometime later that I had been accepted into the program. I was ecstatic but seeing the email and the set rules, I was almost discouraged, cuz they seemed harsh. I got the slack invitation, I had teamed up with a fellow awardee and the program started. The first few weeks were easy and I saw that the rules were to guide us. The organizers provided adequate materials for learning. Then came the challenges, I was determined to ace them. They were easy at first then they got more challenging. The challenges were a way to solidify my knowledge.

My Dufuna journey has been awesome, from the monthly stipends to the guidance and provision of learning materials. The mentors have been very helpful. Thanks to Cotta & Cush for a wonderful platform to meet with other learners and a great learning experience. It has been a lovely 3 months so far and I hope to gain more as we progress.
