I found a better way to travel

In short, I think it’s better for young people to travel with a purpose to bring value to somebody, than travel just for the sake of travel. In this case, 1) going to India to teach kids English in a summer school and then 2) going to see some beautiful places, is much better than just go and see Taj Mahal.
When you travel and you help somebody, it just makes you happier.
This rule doesn’t apply in all circumstances. It applies only when you have time. If you have a week or so, it’s better to go see Paris, Brugge and Barcelona in one trip. But if you have three weeks or more, you’ll be happier if you’ll actually help somebody in that area: be involved in a summer school or summer camp, , help a non-profit or organize an event for a charity. It can be anything that brings value to somebody else, or, how one of my friends said, “gathers social capital”.
