IOST CEO Jimmy Zhong at Teslink Technology

On April 12, Jimmy visited Teslink Technology for a technology discussion.

Teslink Technology is one of the largest Internet of Things companies in China. With the underlying technology of the Internet of Things as its core, it builds a complete city-level mobile Internet of Things through smart hardware, cloud services and mobile terminal layout. The ecosystem works in verticals such as “building and city management.”

Jimmy stated that IOST will work to establish close relationships and partnerships with technology companies around the world in order to combine traditional technology with blockchain technology. He believes these partnerships will be integral to growing the Internet of Services ecosystem and will help to drive widespread blockchain adoption.

This week Jimmy also had the chance to lecture a visiting group of Rhodes Scholars. Drawing on his years of successful entrepreneurial experience in China and the United States, he spoke on the development of Sino-American technology companies and encouraged the elite scholars to pay more attention to the technology industry and also make full use of technology to optimize traditional industries. Most importantly, he encouraged them to view technology as a vehicle for creating convenience, and urged them to seek ways to create value for people in whatever industry they pursued.

The Rhodes Scholarship is one of the most competitive scholarships in the world. It is known as the “Nobel Prize for Undergraduates” and has inspired more than 8,000 scholars, including former President of the United States Bill Clinton, over its storied 116 year history. The Rhodes Scholars who visited were specialists in fields ranging from finance, to law, to cybersecurity.
