Why a Crosschain Swap?
The Iotabee Crosschain Swap will connect IOTA, Shimmer layer 1, Shimmer layer 2 and EVMs with the world outside our ecosystem.
Users will be able to swap assets between different networks and from wallet to wallet easily and instantly. SMR/MIOTA will be supported from day 1 after Shimmer is launched, and users will be able to swap between SMR on Shimmer layer 1 and MIOTA on the Tangle layer directly — with no gas fee.
SMR and MIOTA holders will also earn a competitive yield while contributing to improve SMR liquidity for the good of our overall ecosystem as a Liquidity Provider.
When are we launching? NOW!
The Iotabee Crosschain Swap launched for internal testing with a small number of community members on Sep 7th. We received so much support and valuable feedback, which make the public launch possible now.
The first trading pair available is MIOTA/USDT.
The MIOTA is the real MIOTA on the Tangle layer. The USDT is the USDT asset on BSC (Binance Smart Chain). The reason we are launching this trading pair is because we believe the MIOTA/USDT trading pair will be extremely helpful for those from the BSC ecosystem who are keen to join the IOTA ecosystem. There will be no barriers whatsoever — they’ll be able to purchase IOTA with Iotabee from wallet to wallet, without the need for a deposit. At the same time, this will be used as a test to help us improve our Crosschain Swap, so it’s in the best condition possible to embrace the SMR/MIOTA trading pair when Shimmer launches.
How to trade MIOTA/USDT?
Kindly follow the MIOTA/USDT trading guide from our FAQs. You simply need to connect your TanglePay or Metamask Chrome extension wallet, with MIOTA or USDT inside it (if you are using USDT to swap for MIOTA, you will also need BNB for the gas fee — which isn’t a familiar term for the IOTA community, fortunately).
