When requests for help started to come in from the Veteran’s community, we began to get a glimpse of the very real needs our military families and returning Veterans face. For those whose loved ones are deployed overseas, life at home without the physical presence of a partner, mother, or father can be extremely stressful. Tight finances can put additional strain on an already tense situation. For those returning home and transitioning away from Active Duty, adjusting to civilian life means finding employment, providing for their families as well as dealing with any disabilities that may have come from service. It’s a daunting challenge and can be a time of financial instability.
