The city, which was once referred to as the little Manchester of Pakistan because of its rapid growth of textile mills and other industries, is now facing highly alarmingly air and groundwater pollution which is causing environmental hazards.As we know Faisalabad has been listed as the third most polluted city in the world, with an average air quality index of 130.4. So we have decided to clean our city. Firstly, we have started social media campaign by creating a Facebook page. The name of the page is “Clean city is a healthy city”. The the main purpose of this page is to give awareness and people can easily talk to us.Outcomes seems to be surprising for all of us. People are responding on our Facebook and sharing their ideas. We are getting their feedback.We get feedback from 2–3 peoples on the Facebook. So we visit their areas and see the area cleanliness situation.Before starting the work on cleanliness, We gave awareness in different Education institute. We go to gulistan colony academies, which were following

Amjad science academy
Lahore foundation
KIPS academy
We were able to give awareness to approximately 150–200 students
After awareness We have to find a place which needs cleanliness . For this we get volunteers with us to find the places of required attention. We got the places by volunteer’s cooperation. That time we were need Sponsorship,we all were decided to talk to Faisalabad waste management company (as FWMC) Government organization.We sent them pictures of polluted areas and they told us just give us location we are ready to help you to promote cleanliness.So we had decided to clean “Himmatpura”.
Cleanliness and a health life is not complete without Trees because Trees are an important part of every community. Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water and preserving soil.So to enhance the quality of air,we did plantation to make our project more effective. For this we take the help of “PHA”. Their mission was to plant more trees before 14th of august. We became part of their campaign which was started on 10th of august.
Challenges regarding plantation were that it could be eaten by grazing goats, sheep and donkey. As some people set them loose in the pursuit of saving money for fodder. So, we request the owner to take control of your animals.
I think people change their approach in future. Because we are getting the feedback. This feedback was the conforming the change. Also, if the FWMC is informed about waste. They take time but do it latter generally. As far as planting is concern, some people love it. Only the nomads are the main hurdles towards it.
We continue this project in future by supporting cleanliness anywhere. Planting the trees where they are being cut. Giving advice to others that use the dustbin for the waste. Dumping that waste within a specified place. Also continuing our Facebook page. It is believed that social media is changing the people life completely. May be they take our page influence or not depending on their interest. It would be up to a nation that; they want to change or becoming worst even before
