Sufism also known as Islamic mysticism has a deep connection with metaphysics which relates God with the universe, Sufism has its roots from the time period of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and is also mentioned in Quran but it is also influenced by people belonging to the different school of thoughts. Sufism highlights four major principles: Repentance, Sincerity, love, and remembrance. It traces the various stages through which a Muslim passes and highlights the significant changes in his transformative journey in order to reach Allah’s, limitless love. Referring to the Islamic philosophy of Sufi metaphysics, its basis revolves around two main beliefs Wahdah or “unity” and tawhid.

The early Sufis were the preachers of divine love, and they practiced spiritual truth. They guided the people that these worldly comforts and glory are nothing but a trap for the believers and it is something that distances man from his creator. In short, Sufism emerged on a greater scale due to increasing materialism and worldliness practiced in Muslim society. According to the Sufis, one can experience the divine only by leaving worldly charms as they are a hurdle in the way of the reality of nature. One of the main concepts of Sufism is the idea of Tawheed or “Wahdat-ul-wujud,’ which means, “Unity of existence.” It is one of the main philosophies that prevailed by one of the great Sufis of time.
