I did the activity of reading “The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork from John Maxwell” and I learned about many tips to be most valuable team player and team leader. After that I took an assessment test and I am going to share my experience about this assessment here:

Score: 25/30
Remarks: This is an area of strength. Continue growing, but also spend time
helping others to develop in this area.

My score is 25 and it is a good score and I am really surprised to know that I have that ability to coordinate with team effectively and lead the team as Most Valuable Team Player.

After this activity I came to know that good communication not only refers to develop strong coordination among team members but also focuses on extent of interaction between members and those outside the team. So to be a good communicator we have to broaden our circle to include other people in our surroundings as well.

I plan to do these specific things in order to improve my communication:
1) I plan to hang up with more people in my surroundings along with keeping in touch with my team members in my spare time as it is said that “Few people are successful unless a lot of other people want them to be. I think this act will improve my communication much more than I can consider.
2) I plan that I will try to involve myself in discussions with teammates and other people outside the team as many times as I will find a chance as I along with team-mates will improve my abilities to conflict handling, decision making and listen to others carefully that are most demanding needs to teamwork and to become a Most Valuable team player.

3) I will try to encourage team members and provide them good feedback so that they can work with their full potential

As John W. Gardner said “If I had to name a single all-purpose instrument of leadership, it would be communication.”

It reflects that communication is a key to teamwork and to become a Most Valuable team player, because communication increases commitment and connection, which in turn fuel action and if you don’t know how to communicate you can never be a good player and leader.

Frequent communication leads you to success as:
1) It clarifies all types of confusions among team members and allow them to perform their task very well
2) It help team members to help each other in their way out which creates a feeling of unity in team mates and the power of this unity is always incredible
3) It help team mates to brainstorm and solve problems effectively as it is said ‘aik aur aik giara hai’
4) It help team mates to understand each other’s problems and it creates a feeling of affection and love towards each other.

All these things lead towards good team work and towards becoming a MVTP.
