The Limits of ‘Traditional’ Research — or — Why I want to be Oscar Humlum when I grow up
Ira David Socol

Enjoy the book. Truly.

And, thank you for your thoughts. You know, an unprepared principal, or an unprepared teacher, is rarely at fault themselves. Teacher Preparation programs are typically bad enough, but most Admin programs are useless. They seem to mostly teach office work instead of leadership, and formulas instead of observation skills and intervention skills.

I know the CPS (Michigan State being a major source of their student teachers) and there is nothing offered by their central administration that might allow a principal to succeed.
