My son is four very (depressingly) soon, and he has asked questions about religion already.

That kind of questioning is wonderful, though. I hope he never loses it. I teach 18-year-olds who often have no questions and no inkling that anything even needs to be questioned. It’s kind of scary, but that’s what the education system is churning out… kids who memorise, give rote answers and toe the line. I’m still trying to figure out if critical thinking is a skill which can be taught. If anyone knows the answer, I’d love to hear it!
