We mostly fix very straight forward issues here at iPhone Repair Philly — broken screens, bad batteries, etc. However usually once a day someone comes in with a totally unresponsive iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 and our technicians are given the task of totally diagnosing the device to find out what the problem is. If you are in this situation, don’t fret, we do this absolutely free of charge and only charge you for what actually needs to be repaired. Three are a few solutions, and these are all pretty affordable — we’ve detailed them below so you can figure out what it is yourself — or just give us a call at (267) 603–7073 and we’d love to help.
iPhone Screen Replacement
In certain cases you may have dropped your iPhone and while the outside of the display isn’t cracked, blemished or smashed, the interior connection may become dislodged from the rest of the logic board or just damaged. One of the first steps we take in diagnosing a blacked out iPhone is to remove the screen and check if the connection is correctly attached. If it isn’t we can replace the entire front display (check our pricing page for exact cost) and this will have you working again within the hour.
Dead Battery Replacement
The iPhone 5 battery life is great, but it does have a limit on the amount of times you can charge and re-charge it. Apple doesn’t offer a very realistic replacement option considering it’s usually a simple process, but we do. Often the reason your phone isn’t turning on is because the battery has simply reached it’s limit and needs to be replaced. The good news is this is super easy to do and incredibly cost effective. If you are still hanging onto your phone and the battery life sucks, please do no hesitate to bring it into our store! We can get a brand new lithium-ion battery installed in 30 minutes and have that backed up by our great warranty (labor and parts covered for 60 days).
Charging Ports
For iPhone 4 and 5 devices, we are rough with them and the wear and tear can have a negative impact on your phone’s ability to charge. Dust or particulate can get into the charging port and inhibit the ability for it to charge for long periods of time. The result is you go to bed without thinking anything is wrong and wake up to a dead iPhone and late for work. This is something that is more common than you may think and we’d recommend not stressing out and bringing your iPhone to us so we can replace the charging port itself — also an inexpensive repair.
