To have a scalable framework, you need two main resources.

Your team and your tools.

As it concerns your team, one person can fill in multiple roles but ensure they aren’t laden with too many responsibilities for the sake of efficiency. You can also consider hiring a freelancer.

Your team should handle these 5 primary responsibilities

  1. Content management and strategy : This person is the leader and works with everyone involved in the project. He/she creates long term content plan, tailor it to fit the business needs and also, analyse results. Most times, this person is a content marketing manager or a content marketing strategist.
  2. Writing: A content marketer or writer will usually do the writing by creating compelling and useful content. They don’t necessarily have to be subject matter experts because they can always work with internal and external subject matter experts.
  3. Editing: When something is written, editing usually follows. Someone with a passion for communication can do this perfectly, to ensure what’s written meets the needs of your target market and the goal the content is meant for. Generally to ensure there’s an alignment.
  4. Designing: The responsibility of your designer is to package what’s written and edited in an appealing and attractive way to your readers. make the site easy to navigate and keep the readers glued to your page.
  5. Distribution: The role of a distributor is to create a strategic promotion plan to bring your content to the market. Create promotional content, put it on different platforms for publication and then analyse the results of the campaign.

You can always hire a freelancer to make up for any lack

….Now your tools.

There are 3 main tools that could be relevant for building your framework

  1. CMS(Content management system): This is important for creating, editing and publishing your content. There are a number of them you can use but whichever one you decide on, be sure to be able to edit your site, page, blogs, optimise for search engines e.t.c
  2. Analytics tools: This would be your second important tool but most CMS come with inbuilt analytics. Google analytics is a strong independent tool that gives extra insights too.
  3. Planning and internal communication tools: With your CMS and analytics out of the way, this is the next most important tool because it’ll help your team communicate better and clearly delineate their responsibilities.

I hope this helps with your framework!
