The majority of people using personas come up with imaginary characters who should represent their target group. These are not based on real data from real users and can therefore lead to wrong conclusions.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You are right, like every other method, personas can work under certain conditions.
What I am saying here is, that about 90% don’t work with personas correctly. Hence, creating personas often leads to ignoring your ‘real’ users and entirely focusing on ‘imaginary’ people.
