Work: Reimagined. How about in government? City hiring processes are extremely bureaucratized, narrow in focus, and by the time you make an offer to a candidate 6 months have gone by. We can’t compete (yet). Partial reasons include a lack of acceptance of nimble searching and hiring technology and resistant attitudes to independent workers and freelancing (mostly related to union/manegement concerns). Is any work being done to look into this/propose solutions?
