(Lovelace will lead public affairs and strategic communications efforts at the agency)

(Washington, D.C.) — IR+Media, one of the nation’s fastest growing and creative public relations and strategic communications firms, announced today it has added Mr. Telly Lovelace as managing director to its team of communications professionals and consultants. Lovelace brings to IR+Media nearly 20 years of experience in public policy and industry communications.

“Adding Telly to our team, is a major coup for us and our clients,” said Jarvis Stewart, chairman, IR+Media LLC. “I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing first hand the thoughtful, tactical way he has positioned elected officials and corporate brands with both traditional and non-traditional media outlets. His commitment to client service and results fits perfectly with our goals as a agency.”

Prior to IR+Media, Lovelace most recently served as a senior member of Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s communications team. On Capitol Hill, he worked as director of communications for U.S. Senator Jim Talent of Missouri, Reps. Michael Turner of Ohio and Jerry Weller of Illinois.

His industry communications experience includes working as senior manager for communications and public affairs at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where he was the national spokesman for the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA), the industry’s landmark public awareness campaign. Lovelace also managed a national consumer awareness campaign for the sports and entertainment online ticket marketplace, StubHub.

“I am excited to join Jarvis and the team at IR+Media. They understand how government works and how to use various press and communications platforms to influence decision-makers and effectively advocate for their client’s interests. I look forward to helping the firm build an even broader client base and reputation,” Lovelace added.
