Last December, after six months of guided discussions and soul-searching, I decided to drop out of the computer science program at the City College of New York to pursue a full-time job as a software engineer at Harry’s.
Before dropping out, I was a part-time student and part-time developer for 3.5 years. I worked for 24 hours a week. I took an average of 9 credits per semester, and I was on track to graduate in another 2.5 years, which would have made me a (super-)senior member of the CCNY Class of 2019.
