I totally agree with you. I use to read self help books trying to be one better and everytime I didn’t performed as expected I felt so bad, depressed, thinking I was not good enough . Then one day I stopped to read and listen all those speakers and realized that although the advise is good I need use it and manage it in my life at my own pace... And let my feelings arise when they need it.. If I have a bad day when I feel very down I allow it consciously and take note... I probably will feel better tomorrow... And I am not failing... This is just normal. .. We are humans, there is a beauty in each one of our emotions... Just be aware when things going too imbalance... That’s all. Believe Always you can start over again.
