Some friends should have little value. Too often people get caught up in maintaining a good ratio of “quality friends” by not having a lot of friends. Thus, most people in college have few quality friends. In reality, the goal should be to seek and have as many quality friends as possible. You never know when they may come in handy later in life. In conclusion, if you want to have more valuable people in your life, you have to know enough people (statistically). And this means dealing with an abundance of people who aren’t so valuable.
