What’s your name, major and hometown?

My name is Isabella Pazmino, I am a Public Relations major and I am from Guayaquil-Ecuador

What would be the most useful thing for me to know about you as a student?

I am discipline and when I commit to something I put all my effort in it. I love learning new things.

What do you wish was different about school?

I wish that I didn’t had to take a foreign language because I already know three and I always think that I am here to learn about my career and not another language.

Describe a moment in school last year when you felt really engaged. Why do you think that moment was such a positive one for you?

I felt engaged in one of my classes because it wasn’t a big class and we use to interact a lot with the teacher. We use to do prompts and go through the book together. This class was PURE 1800 and it made me feel that the major I chose was the correct one.

What do you think teachers think about you, and what do you wish they’d think about you?

I have ADD and while teachers think it is a disability that I have because I need more time for my exams I feel the opposite. I think that having ADD have made me stronger and a better student because I have learned to be disciplined and discipline at some point beats talent.

Tell me about a teacher who you feel knew you well. What kind of student were you in his or her class? What did he or she do to get to know you?

The teacher that I felt that knew me well was my Environmental System and Society teacher, her name was Katherine. I was an active student in her class, I would always go to her office to talk about everything. Sometimes I went to her office just to tell her that I did not agree on what the book was saying. She got to know me because she was open to hear everything that I had to say.

If you could build a school, what would it look like?

If I could build a school I would try to find what each student is best at doing, so they can be the best and do what they love. I would like to have a school that adapts to each student differently because I have always thought that every person is a different world and we cannot follow or learn something in the same way.

What do you wish I would ask you so that I can be a good teacher for you?

I wish that I was asked who I am and what I love doing. I would like to be asked that because you feel more comfortable with someone when you know them better, you feel like you can reach out, ask more questions and feel involve.

What makes a weekend day great for you?

Just relaxing and doing things I am not able to usually do.

What is your favorite song right now and why?

My favorite song is Bohemian Rhapsody
