- Close ended questions are questions that end with a “Yes” or “no” type of answer. A short response usually follows a close ended question
- Open ended questions invoke a longer response, and are not “Yes” or “no” question.
- Hypothetical question, in this question scenario, the interviewer puts together a hypothetical situation and the person being interviewed answers with what they would do in the hypothetical situation.
- Agree or Disagree type of question, in this scenario the interviewer asks the person if they agree or disagree with either a statement or quote.
- Probing question, This is the follow up to something that has already been said. A question that arises in the spur of the moment.
- Personal question, this is a question that is difficult to ask usually, because it is usually very personal. The interviewer must approach this carefully.
