My Early Review of the #AskGaryVee Book
I was so excited when I got an early copy of the #AskGaryVee book. It is a privilege for me to be able to read and review this book before everyone else. I have been a Vayniac since about episode 110 of the shooooooow. After watching a few episodes, I worked feverishly to catch up. It took close to 3 weeks of non stop listening but I made it! YouTube at work (not blocked on our network), podcasts on the drive home, etc. The insight from the shows and from the book are something every entrepreneur should read. It really helped me get perspective on many things that were happening in business and personal life.
The thing I loved the most about the show was the personal questions as well as the business insight. That translates in the book very well.
When I got the book, I immediately started diving into it and it is amazing. I do NOT like reading but the way that this book is laid out makes it easy to read. Each chapter can be read independent of each other in my mind. The book has 21 chapters and topics range from starting out, how to hustle, leadership and even sports.
When I was going through the book, I flipped over the corner of the pages where I really felt like the questions/answers were fire. No chapter got more page turns than Chapter 6: Hustle. I loved this chapter. I liked how he brings up what it takes to run a business. For me, it was an eye opening read. I feel like I work hard but after reading and watching the DailyVee’s, it is apparent that I need to work harder if I want to achieve the things I want. One of my favorite quotes came from the question on how you define hustle. The last two sentences sum up what I feel like every entrepreneur needs to embrace.
Wake up before everybody else and work into the night.
Hustle until there’s not single drop of juice left.
To me, this is all you need to know in order to know if you’re giving it your all. The book goes on to discuss the different social platforms, Facebook Ads, Gratitude and Self Awareness.
I haven’t been able to ready the entire book yet but the questions I have been through are pure gold. I recently got into the real estate business in Nashville (DeSelms Real Estate 615.550.5565 — Isam Aziz 615.538.8443)(end of shameless plug) and from watching the show and reading the book, I have at least 10 different things I can execute on. I have a full time job as well and the book can also show you how to deal with poor management and how to get ahead at your current job.
If you have seen all the episodes, get the book. From my own personal experience, the answers given in the show were expanded on, explained differently and given the view of 6 months later which can gives us a new and different perspective. I cannot wait to get through the rest of the book.
I want to thank Gary for putting out all this content. He does it all for free and never asks for anything in return except for a comment. I bought 8 of his books for the Super 8 because I know the 2 years I have spent listening to him is worth the $150-ish it cost me. I also plan on buying the audiobook once it comes out as well. I can put his plan into action and make ten times that in business.
Buy the book. It will be an incredible investment and worth every penny you pay for it. I even made it easy for you with the link below!
