I have a joke I can’t tell most people face to face.

Thats because I live in the United Kingdom but I come from South Africa.

Here saying the letter o — pronounced like oh — means either the letter o or zero. Or oh, of course ;)

But in South Africa, the slang word ou means man (guy/bloke). And you pronounce ou like you say oh in English.

So when I ask “What is the cannibal’s telephone number?” And the punchline is 10810 — pronounced One Oh Ate One Oh — South African’s get it.

But here, nobody get’s it. Feel sad for me.
