No Sleep Till WWDC!

In the lead up to WWDC I get a bit restless. Currently, I can’t seem to sleep. It’s so exciting thinking of what wonderful treats Apple might reveal at their annual developer’s conference. I am especially excited this year because the promotional material seems highly targeted towards code (Swift!) and developers. I love it. Today Apple released the mostly redacted schedule of events for the week. This shouldn’t spoil much (unless you look too closely), but I went through the schedule and broke down the sessions by category and checked how many sessions are related to each of the operating systems, as well as how many sessions titles in each category are currently redacted. For curious souls, here’s what I found:

Total Sessions 113

Developer Tools: 20 sessions

OS X: 19 of 20

iOS: 20 of 20

tvOS: 18 of 20

watchOS: 18 of 20

Redacted: 13 of 20

Media: 8 sessions

OS X: 3 of 8

iOS: 7 of 8

tvOS: 4 of 8

watchOS: 2 of 8

Redacted: 6 of 8

Graphics & Games: 9 sessions

OS X: 6 of 9

iOS: 8 of 9

tvOS: 8 of 9

watchOS: 4 of 9

Redacted: 8 of 9

System Frameworks: 20 sessions

OS X: 17 of 20

iOS: 19 of 20

tvOS: 13 of 20

watchOS: 13 of 20

Redacted: 15 of 20

App Frameworks: 40 sessions

OS X: 14 of 40

iOS: 28 of 40

tvOS: 20 of 40

watchOS: 15 of 40

Redacted: 31 of 40

Design: 5 sessions

OS X: 2 of 5

iOS: 2 of 5

tvOS: 2 of 5

watchOS: 2 of 5

Redacted: 1 of 5

Distribution: 3 sessions

macOS: 3 of 3

iOS: 3 of 3

tvOS: 2 of 3

watchOS: 0 of 3

Redacted: 1 of 3

What does all this mean? Officially nothing, but I figured it might be neat to see the breakdown in this way. We’re about 9 days away from Apple revealing what they have in store. I hate unsolicited spoilers, so I won’t say anything here, but I did notice a couple of interesting things. Did you notice anything? If you want to chat about what you noticed or if you’re curious about the two things I noticed hit me up on Twitter (@ishabazz).
