Hi readers, today, we are going to talk about nepotism. This is one of the hot topics in the nation of India these days. Read ahead to know more.

Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the progressive actors of Bollywood. But, he committed suicide on 14th June, 2020. He was found hanging from his apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai. The reason of his death is as clear as glass, nepotism.

Nepotism is the practice of showing favoritism. When one supports another person financially or recommends them through biased relation, it is termed as nepotism.

I don’t think this picture requires any captions. Its meaning is as clear as glass.

Some of the most influential actors of the Bollywood film industry are Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Karan Johar. One huge producer who shows nepotism is Ekta Kapoor. Salman Khan and Karan Johar are huge nepotists. If you recall most of Karan Johar’s movies, he picked actors with fame, usually because of their parent’s position. I will name a few to you: Alia Bhatt, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt; Varun Dhawan, son of David Dhawan; Ananya Pandey, daughter of Chunky Pandey; Tiger Shroff, son of Jackie Shroff; Abhishek Bachchan, son of Amitabh Bachchan; Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan, and the list goes on and on. These are some known actors and actresses who have developed their image on the name of their parents.

Let me also tell you about Saroj Khan. This woman passed away on 3rd July, 2020. She was one of India’s leading dance choreographer in the Bollywood cinema. Saroj Khan was also Madhuri Dixit’s role model. But, she never earned the fame she should’ve received due to nepotism.

During the shooting of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, Salman Khan objected Saroj Khan’s dance steps. Madhuri trolled Salman Khan and, as revenge, Salman Khan made sure that Saroj Khan was never again asked to choreograph. Before passing away, Saroj Khan had told the whole world her sad tale.

An Indian actress Kangana Ranaut has trolled Karan Johar sitting in his show, Koffee With Karan, without uttering his name. Ms. Ranaut was ready to stop the flourishment in her career, but, she stood against nepotism.

My point in this article is to help your minds function and stand up against any biased treatment you see. Happy Reading!
