Welcome back to my blog series, “My Journey to Friend of Medium & Medium Partner Program.” After a hiatus of more than 15 days, I’m here to share an intriguing update on my Medium journey — a narrative of consistency, growth, and the stark realities of taking a break from content creation.
As of March 2024, my Medium statistics stand at 355 views and 178 reads. These numbers represent my journey after upgrading to a Friend of Medium and becoming eligible for the Medium Partner Program.
Before I delve deeper into the effects of my recent inactivity, let’s take a moment to reflect on the strides made just before my break.
On March 2nd, 2024, I hit a personal milestone with 111 views and 68 reads in a single day.
This achievement was not just a number but a testament to my dedication to writing and engaging with the Medium community.
During the initial 20 days of intense writing and interaction, I was fortunate to gain around 300 followers and, to my surprise, earn approximately $150.
This progress was exhilarating, serving as a concrete validation of my efforts and the potential for growth within the Medium ecosystem.
However, life, with its unpredictability, demanded my attention elsewhere. I paused my writing endeavors on March 6th, 2024, to focus on other business commitments.
This 15-day break led to a startling realization upon my return. As of today, March 21st, 2024, my story stats have plummeted to a mere 1 view and 1 read.
This dramatic drop from my previous engagement levels highlights a crucial lesson about the nature of online platforms — consistency is key.
The stark contrast between my engagement levels before and after my break underscores the importance of regular content creation and interaction within the Medium community.
It’s a reminder that the momentum built from consistent effort can quickly wane in the absence of new content.
My journey so far has taught me that success on Medium, much like in any other endeavor, requires a steady commitment.
This reflection is not just about numbers but about the value of perseverance, community engagement, and the willingness to adapt.
As I resume my journey on Medium, I am more aware of the challenges and rewards that come with being a part of this vibrant platform.
The lesson here is clear: to thrive on Medium, or any content creation platform for that matter, one must remain active, engaged, and above all, consistent.
