Instructions for the Mexican Candy Shot Recipe
Mexican Candy Shot Ingredients:
- 1 oz (30 ml) Tequila
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Grenadine syrup
- Chili salt mix (for rimming the glass)
- Lime wedge (for garnish)
- Ice cubes
Mexican Candy Shot Instructions:
- Prepare the Glass: Start by rimming a shot glass with a mixture of chili powder and salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the shot glass to moisten it. Dip the moistened rim into a shallow plate containing the chili salt mix, coating the rim evenly. This will give your shot that classic spicy and salty kick.
- Mix the Ingredients:In a cocktail shaker, add the tequila, lime juice, grenadine syrup, and a few ice cubes. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds. This will chill the ingredients and mix them well.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared shot glass, being careful not to disturb the chili salt rim. Garnish the shot with a small lime wedge on the rim.
