tbh, by making a clear distinction of “genders”/”sexes”, you promote the idea that men will naturally attack women.

After all, guys get attacked too. We acknowledge it more in a different manner of assault, sure, but similar advice is given nonetheless. “Don’t be obviously scared”, “trust your gut”.

eg, if you’re assaulted in the end — oh boy! — don’t speak of it unless to either buff yourself up or to shun others for trying to raise awareness and to de-normalize violence. No real win for the victims usually.
