February 25, 1994, Baruch Goldstein, an American-born Israeli physician and religious extremist Opened fire on a big group of Palestinians who were praying in Ibrahaimi mosque in Al-Khalil, Hebron. He is known for being the mass murderer who perpetrated the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre, killing 29 Palestinian Muslim worshippers and wounding another 125.
