Different methods used for solar panel installation

Are you considering installing solar panels at the office or home? Well, it can be anywhere and of course, you can choose the best mounting method according to your needs. However, we are here to explain briefly the two major methods being used all over the world and for different purposes. So, let’s dig in:

Pole-mount method:

The very first one on our list here is the pole-mount method. You might have seen solar panels attached to poles on brackets. If not, you can Google it.

Well, this method is relatively easier than the roof-mounted solar panel. Here is why, when you install a solar panel on the ground you need to make a base structure for it. In case of pole mount, you simply need a pole and mount the solar panel on it. The best part is that it is usually rotatable.

For a pole-mount solar panel, you need to use solar panel fasteners that go according to the weather, and structure of your solar panel. Typically, for a pole here stainless steel solar bolt and nuts alongside the steel pipe are highly recommended because they are resistant to corrosion and heat.

Solar on a pole is usually used in isolated areas and where there is a need to make changes in their positions. They are titled, moved, and adjusted throughout the day or year to get maximum benefit of sunlight and they are mobile. It means you can move them whenever you want without damaging the whole system.

Ground or rooftop method:

Another very common and famous method is the rooftop mounting method. Here you need to make a structure base for the mount and the solar panels are installed on it. You can either use aluminum, brass or stainless steel solar nuts and bolts in the solar panel fasteners.

Many specialists highly recommend stainless steel solar nuts and bolts in the solar panel fasteners because they are more durable, affordable and resistant to the natural environments.

If you are installing it for your home or office, it is highly recommended to go for a ground solar panel because they absorb more heat throughout the day and you do not have to change their positions. They are out of any harm and risk of any damage is quite low. Also, rooftop solar panels are usually a more permanent solution because they are touched or altered almost never which makes it a more reliable and secure option.
