Although I am not a Gambian-American female, I totally respect the matter of pressing for the importance of higher education within this group. Growing up as a black girl definitely taught me the significance of pushing for what I want in life. It also has helped me to encourage other girls in my community. You’re doing an amazing job, keep up the good work & stay inspired. To the females of the Gambian-American community wanting to step outside of their comfort zone to pursue greater in life — do so! Nothing beat a fail, but a try.
